The pen is mightier than the sword, if it is sharpened to a fine point, dipped in deadly poison and thrown from 10 feet away. But really, you're better off with a sword.

Agree just about word for word on Anita (my friends and I have been having this exact conversation a lot recently). A Publishers' Weekly review said "Anita needs to put her pants back on and get back to work." Definitely needs more of what you show in this particular drawing. ^_^

That bag of money was like a baby to me. Except it was made of gold instead of useless baby meat.
I've read Dead Witch Walking, which I enjoyed, if that's either of those two authors. Another fave is Jim Butcher's Harry Dresden series - a wizard in Chicago, best buddies with Murphy (I forget her first name, since no one uses it), the tough little blonde cop who has no supernatural powers, and doesn't need 'em. These are definitely lighter, not so intense as Anita, but what is?
