Half inspired by the art of Alphonse Mucha, and half by Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel fresco The Fall of Man. Illustrates a scene of biblical mythology where Lilith, Adam's first wife, gives Eve the apple of wisdom. Eve doesn't seem at all reluctant about accepting Lilith's offer....
(God made Lilith, after Adam got tired of having sex with the animals. God made Lilith out of dust, same as Adam, and she thought that since they were made of the same stuff, they were equal. Adam thought otherwise, and again went whining to God about his wife who wouldn't have sex in missionary position. So God made Eve out of Adam, assured that she would be submissive. Lilith naturally gets pissed off about this. Today, Lilith is celebrated as the first feminist, and her name shows up on TV, as Lilith, Fraiser's wife on Cheers, and also the Lilith Fair, celebrating the music of female artists. Lilith is also the mother of all monsters, her curse for leaving her sleazeball husband, and calls werewolves, vampires, and lamia her babies.) Colored Pencil on matboard, 11x14" |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
